RoboForm stores your passwords and other data in files on your hard drive. You can back up these files from within RoboForm so you won't lose them if your computer or hard drive fails. RoboForm can restore the back ups on another computer, so this process is also effective for transferring RoboForm your data to a new computer.

When backing up RoboForm, does anything need be taken beyond the folder with files ('My RoboForm Data' by default)?
Having 100+ files that I must not lose, I thought to check whether it is only 'My RoboForm Data'.

Yup. Just that folder.
You can also use RoboForm own Backup feature.
RoboForm menu -> Options ->User Data (on left list) ->Backup button (under Backup and Restore).
Save Your Progress With Saviour SchnappsIf you want to save your game by pausing and hitting 'Save Game', you'll need the alcoholic beverage known as Saviour Schnapps. Taverns in the towns will have some for you, but the price is typically enough to make you think twice about buying. You also run the risk of becoming an alcoholic, which impacts how your player controls, how every NPC perceives you, and more. You receive a couple bottles early in the game but, once you've used them, they can be a bit pricey to purchase. Kingdom come deliverance save file.
It will inform you of what is going to be backed up. It's essentially the contents of your current RoboForm profile folder. By default it is under My RoboForm data. This folder contains all your current profiles.
So the backup feature only backups the current profile you have activated under RoboForm menu -> Profiles. If you have more than one profile, best indeed to manually copy the My RoboForm Data folder.

I have recently update to windows 8, due to errors i lost my partitions and lost most of my passwords to all my sites. I had all my passwords saved on passcards, I used roboform and never needed to remember them. I have used hiren's boot to recover them and did find them but everytime I go to open them it says 'wrong file format', and I put them in the same folder as the other passcards. Im lost 100%!
I dont know if my recovery program didnt recover all parts of the file.. or is there another way to fix this issue. Im in need of some desperate help because I have many sites I cant get into and a little relieved that this is only password I remember.. probaly because all the rest of my sites I used a roboform autogenerated passwords + some prifix..there aint no cracking it. ANY HELP IS GREATFAL!!!

Update: 08/16/2018 - so now, this extension is off and will not turn on when selected. This is likely a Microsoft Edge issue. *** Not sure whether it is the Edge browser that is the issue or that RoboForm devs are not keeping up with the Windows 10 environment, but this version of RoboForm underperforms consistently against other versions. IT rarely recognizes standard login forms, and rarely offers to save changes. The Identity feature is a real hassle as it too rarely fills simple shopping cart forms, even ones that I've used recently and still have cookies for the website. I also do not see any way to set the login timeout. I do not mind the OTP requirement, but having to do it so often on an active session can be a real PITA. I'm hoping that whatever it is that have reduce the usefulness, this will change soon, as I do miss being able to reliably use the secure form filling / saving capabilities. When that happens, I'll be happy to once again give Roboform a high recommendation.
